We are trying to get the word out and communicate with our community.
Would it be possible for you to pass on to your Home Association Community the following information so that they may know a little more about us?
Please allow me to introduce you to the Richland Police Department Foundation ( Foundation). The Foundation was established in 2017 and is a 501c-3 nonprofit organization.
The mission of the Foundation is to support the Richland Police Department in building a safer community. With the generous donations of our community members and businesses, 100% of the funds received are used for Education & Officer Training, Morale, Emergency Assistance and Community Care.
Since 2017, the Foundation has sent officers out of state for additional training, provided scholarships to officers seeking further education, hosted private picnics and holiday gatherings for the officers and their families, and has provided countless opportunities for officers to assist community members in time of need.
The Board for the Foundation currently has 8 members and we are actively seeking new Board members to join us. All of our members are community minded volunteers who wish to assist the Richland Police Department in their efforts to keep this a great place to live. The Board meets once a month for planning purposes of upcoming events. Subcommittees may hold additional meetings. Board members and volunteers do not have to be Richland residents. No experience needed - just a desire to meet others, assist in planning events, and outreaching. We have a lot of fun!
